Sunday, December 11th, was a historic day in the life of our congregation. Dr. Steve Turner, the president of Iowa District West of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, was our special guest to formally receive our congregation as a duly constituted congregation of the LCMS. President Turner delivered the sermon while the youngsters in the congregation gave a choir bell concert and presented their Christmas program. Our organist, Ryan Frederick, performed beautiful music for the special occasion with the congregation’s new organ built in Italy. The ladies of the congregation served a fabulous lunch in the church basement. It was a truly festive and joyous morning during the Christmas season. Come and visit us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am at the beautiful country church located in the village of the Madison County Historical Complex.
