Our singles retreat this summer is coming up fast. The retreat is August 21-23 at Camp Okoboji in Milford, Iowa. Check their website that’s posted for you on this registration portal (on the home page).
We will be gathering on Friday evening, August 21st. We’ll have games, campfire, s’mores, eats and drinks as people arrive. I’ll be up until everybody has arrived. Eats and drinks will be available in the kitchen for the duration of the weekend. We will be staying in the Bethel retreat center which has a very high level of comfort and is air conditioned.
The Saturday schedule is easy. We’ll have three meals in the camp dining hall which is very nice.
We’ll have a plenary session after breakfast as time to meet and greet.
We’ll have a Bible study so bring your Bibles. Also bring your own bedding. Most people bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
Breakout sessions for the men and women will be on the schedule.
Swimming in the lake (weather permitting)
Movie and/or hymnfest.
Free time on your own built into the schedule for walking around the camp or the lake.
Sunday breakfast and worship in the camp chapel. The blessed Sacrament will be served.
Following worship, pack up, clean up, and head home.
